[O] bug#32722: 26.1; Org-publish depend on non-free platform ?

Emacs should not advise people to load anything from outside Emacs
(counting ELPA). So this needs to be deleted.

If htmlize is useful, we should put it into Emacs.
Is there some obstacle to that?

[O] Anyone using poly-org?

2018-09-12 Thread William Denton

https://github.com/polymode/poly-org

For quite a while now I've used polymode for Markdown and R Markdown, and it's
great. "Polymode is a framework for multiple major modes (MMM) inside a single
Emacs buffer," as it explains.

A few days ago the polymode packages got updated and poly-org appeared, so I
tried it. It did a great job changing the mode when I moved from text into a
source block (which is what it's for), but executing a source block I tried
didn't work, I think because I was specifying :var variables and they weren't
being passed in.

Is anyone on the list using it without problems?

Thanks a lot, I'll check it out!

Thanks, I'll be looking into this.

Good point!

[O] A MOOC on reproducible reasearch (using orgmode) is going to start on October 22

2018-09-12 Thread Christophe Pouzat

Dear all,

A MOOC on Reproducible Research

prepared by Arnaud Legrand, Konrad Hinsen and myself together with the
Learning Lab of the INRIA (the french research institute dedicated to
computer sciences) is going to start on October 22.

Three independent paths can be followed, one using R/Rstudio, one using
Python/Jupyter and, of course, one using orgmode with Python and R.

The course videos are in French with English subtitles. The course
material is available in both English and French.

Christophe

PS An announcement in French

is also available.

There must be something here I don't understand. If you want epub why not
just go from org-manual.org directly to epub using
https://github.com/ofosos/ox-epub? Why do we need to go via texi?

Best wishes,
