2023-04-24 Thread Kevin LaSanders
I would like to saya big thank you to Tormach as well, for hosting the
meeting and everything. A very gracious host, I apperciate their
hospitality very much. The facility was also very cool and interesting.

And a big thank you to all the other users/attendees. Everyone was all so
nice, friendly and very supportive. I had an absolutly great time. Your
paitence was very much apperciated, and thank you all for your
interest/input in the presentation. Everyone was so very smart, and I
learned so much over the weekend, and I have many notes for things to look
into further.

I am so very touched by how kind and supportive everyone was. I had a great
time. Thank you to everyone involved.

Everyone was not nearly as old and cranky as I expected.

Thank you all for everything,
Darius
 (cakeslob from the linuxcnc forum)

ps, this is my first time doing a linuxcnc mail list so I hope I did not
break it. Im not very good with emails.

If people want to set things up we have plenty of AV equipment (including some
top notch microphones) that could be used to broadcast the meeting to remote
attendees. The group is welcome to use Tormach's paid Zoom account to host.

I will set things up this afternoon and Rob Ellenberg and others may be able to
help connect and send out the correct Zoom links to the list tomorrow.

I am coming round to the idea.

Where exactly is "Tormach headquarters" ? There seems to be two addresses
on the web site.

And where are folk staying?

Will people who plan to attend (weekend of April 22-23)
please confirm?

We only have a couple names so far, and Tormach doesn't want
to commit their resources for a tine crowd.

Please reply here or directly to me if you plant to attend.

Thanks,

Jon

Re: [Emc-developers] April 2023 LinuxCNC meeting at Tormach headquarters

2023-03-07 Thread Daniel Rogge
Jon and the emc-dev community,

I'm happy to host a meeting the weekend of April 22/23. I wish we could have
people stick around after the meeting, but I can't offer another two days the
following week. We work remotely now and flying our staff in for a week-long
get together is expensive. We need that Monday/Tuesday for our internal
software work. I hope you all understand.

Daniel Rogge

I FINALLY have a DATE! Tormach is having a meeting with the above mentioned
developers from April 24 - 28. Daniel suggests we could have a meeting from
April 22-23 (over the
weekend) and then maybe stay a day or 2 longer to hobnob with those other
developers. Sorry it took so long to find out what the dates were.
