How can I sync AIM account info to Apple Address Book?
How can I enter AIM screen names into my Entourage contact list so they are transferred to the Apple Address Book in the proper format that iChat can recognize? I keep linking my buddies to their corresponding information in my Apple Address Book...and this seems to work for a week or so...but eventually Sync Services wipes out the AIM entries. As a result my iChat buddy list is transformed back to a bunch of cryptic screen names that are hard to identify without my Captain Crunch decoder ring. -- To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/ old-archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/
Daylight Savings?
I have an issue when I snooze an event to End of Today¹. I have my work hours set from 7am to 5pm. My system Date and Time are set to Time Zone: EDT¹ with date and time set automatically. System time displays correctly. Event reminders open at the correct time. In Entourage the preference for Default Time Zone for new events¹ is set to (GMT 04:00) Eastern Time. There is no option in the list for EDT. My issue: events snoozed to the end of the day pop up at 4pm instead of 5pm. How can I fix this when it seems that all settings are correct and normal reminders occur at the correct time. Thanks for any suggestions. OS 10.5.4, Entourage 2008 12.1.1

Same issue here. Mildly annoying. I've seen that too and wondered why End of Day was considered an hour before my end of day. Never considered this might be due to DST. Did a quick test by creating an event and setting my system clock forward to November 25, which is Standard Time. If I sleep the event to End of Day it still kicks in at 4:00 p.m. rather than 5:00 p.m., which my set end of day. Not sure if this is a bug or by design. I could understand that this is by design considering an event that is slept to end-of-day should probably be acted upon before the real end-of-day. -- bill Entourage Help Page http://entourage.mvps.org/ Entourage Help Blog http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/ YouTalk http://nine.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/youtalk Twitter: follow meck -- To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/ old-archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/

We'd seen this on MacBooks and MacBook Pros with 2 GB RAM. If you disable Spotlight in Entourage's preferences does that affect performance? Yes, that does seem to reduce the lag. Re-enabling Spotlight does not appear to immediately reintroduce it, so it might be the initial caching that went bad - odd that it would happen on multiple Macs, though. Thanks for the help, Bill. Do you have the Entourage database excluded in the Privacy tab of Spotlight. If not, exclude it. This is not what Entourage uses for Spotlight caches. Do you have Time Machine set to backup Entourage? I encourage you to exclude it there also. It is not safe to backup Entourage while it is in use. -- Diane -- To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/ old-archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/
