The assistant then manually duplicates the event into the CEO’s calendar, transposing location, notes, etc. via copy paste. I’m not very thrilled with this workflow, nor is the assistant. Her own calendar is completely muddled with all of the CEO’s events. And she has to go through a fairly tedious copy paste method to add the event to the CEO’s calendar. If the assistant has both calendars available in the folders list on the left then she should be able to simply drag and drop and event from one calendar to the other while viewing events with a Custom View. For example, create a Custom View (File -- New -- Saved Search): Folder is CEO's calendar Start Date This Week Find the event, drag and drop. you don't even need to use a custom view. Just drag the event from your calendar to the CEO's calendar displayed in the left hand listing pane. The event will appear on the correct day/time in that calendar. -- Barry -- To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/ old-archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/
Re: gmail, IMAP and Entourage
Those are excellent resources but I think IMAP is over my head. I do not understand the double lists of folders. In the 2nd list, drafts do not appear in Drafts nor deleted messages in Trash. What is that? If, as recommended in your first link, in the account Options I put Root Folder: [gmail], I don't get a double list but I get only Inbox - no other folders. Is there a link to explain this wierdness? I would be satisfied with gmail as POP except that I can't get it to be received on two computers in the same account or to address myself in a BCC. Is there a way to do this? Thanks. on 9/10/08 3:23 PM, Diane Ross at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: See these articles for help setting it up as IMAP. To get it on two computers, check the box to leave messages on server and then set the delete from server time to something long enough to allow you to download the messages to both computers. As far as BCCing yourself, set up another Gmail account and BCC that one. ~Linda -- To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/ old-archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/

I have my Gmail, .mac, yahoo and local ISP accounts all set up as POP in both mac mail and entourage. I have no problems and receive mail in both. Re: gmail, IMAP and Entourage
Thank you. But are you (or others) able to BCC yourself to the same gmail address? And can you receive on more than one computer the same gmail message from someone else? I mean in Entourage (or Mail), not in webmail. I can do this with verizon, earthlink and dotmac, if I set it to save on the server for a day or whatever. Gmail doesn't do that for me. on 9/11/08 5:03 PM, Diane Ross at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I have my Gmail set up with POP. Re: gmail, IMAP and Entourage
To verify, you are saying that you can receive POP gmail messages more than one time (on two computers) in Entourage? And you can send a message to yourself at the same address? on 9/11/08 8:51 PM, mike sanders at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I have my Gmail, .mac, yahoo and local ISP accounts all set up as POP in both mac mail and entourage.
