Entourage Identity Problem

I posted this a long time ago, but the problem was never solved.  Let's try
again:


Entourage 2004, Mac OS 10.4.11, Intel Core 2 Duo.

I can not create a new identity.  When I go to
Entourage - Switch Identity...

...I receive the message:

To switch identities, quit MSN Messenger and all Microsoft Office programs
and then restart Microsoft Entourage.

No other Microsoft Office program, or MSN Messenger, was running.  I went to
Activity Monitor and manually quit the Database Demon.

I still get the same error.

I quit Entourage and started it again, but I am still receiving the same
error message.  I can not create a new identity.

Any ideas on what's happening and how to fix it?

Log out/in with Shift key down. Launch Entourage. Quit
Notifications/Reminders.

If that doesn't work, move your Identity out of the Microsoft User Data
folder and Entourage will be forced to create a new Identity.
