Thanks. The part of the script that designates the owner of the address
book (me or my) is a big help.

One remaining problem for me is how differently Entourage and iCal handle
different Categories (basically, iCal requires the use of multiple
calendars, and I've not seen any way to synchronize my multiple Entourage
calendar categories into iCal except using Sync Services and one Entourage
calendar in iCal, which doesn't parse the category information in any way.

One respondent who endorsed the notion of staying with Entourage and using
an Exchange Server asked why I hadn't tried it yet. The answer is that we
don't have our  Windows 2008 Server computer yet :-)

I don't see how to order a Rule above a Mailing List Manger item.  They are
separate menus, and do not seem to offer any ordering commands.

It's not Spam as such, it is an autoresponder from a Romanian bank  
telling the sender of an email that they will be back in touch as soon  
as possible and that they should never give away passwords, pin number  
or account details to anyone who phones or SMS texts them.


The list does use a 'Challenge/Response' system to approve new  
subscriptions, but what I suspect is happening here is that the  
challenge is replied to by the autoresponder, which the list server  
takes to be a valid confirmation message and the address is re- 
subscribed. LetterRip (the list server software) should have the  
capability to blacklist a certain address - I'm a little surprised Jud  
hasn't implemented that yet. I'm hopeful it will happen soon!


Regarding the effectiveness of rules to delete these messages, if you  
have a MLM entry set up to handle list messages, you have to select  
the option in the MLM entry to allow further rules to process the  
messages as well - otherwise the rule processing will be terminated  
after the MLM rule runs and the message will never be seen by your  
anti-spam rule.

Excellent.  I found that in the Mailing List Manager, Advanced tab.
Actually I had to remove the [x] from Do not apply rules to list messages.

I'll be sure the bug is submitted. Second monitor problems often get
overlooked because there are not enough testers using dual monitors. Then
the setups are different as well so problems like this can be easily
overlooked. In the end, the answer might be 'bug by design'.

I just recently got a second monitor and never realized how useful they are.
I would love to have a third one at times.

Thanks. I deleted Safari 4. Too bad, I kind of liked it but I guess I'll
stick with Camino.
