[FairfieldLife] From a friend: My afternoon with Raja Ram.

2012-05-13 Thread Rick Archer
The Movement is in good hands.

That was my unequivocal conclusion about Tony Nader after spending the
afternoon at a seminar he gave in NY yesterday. This was a seminar
briefly describing his discovery of the Ramayana in human anatomy. He
wanted to actually start on time (!) but was caught in traffic coming in
from NJ - so he got on a cell phone and just started talking to us from the
car rather than keeping us waiting or listening to Haglen kill time. When
he arrived he spoke for about an hour and I found the talk mildly
interesting - which was personally significant as I was anticipating a
boring afternoon of gobbly gook followed by a commercial for money. Then
he just stopped and said that what he really wanted to do was to connect
with the audience (mostly governors and meditators).

It was during the Q & A that I really woke up. I found him to be
refreshingly sweet and humble. Of course he was well versed in the topic
but what was most inviting was his style. He honored everyone's
questions, gave an interesting answer, then would say something like: "was
that a good answer?" in a very sweet and honest manner.

Some of the most memorable questions were about how his mind was able to
cognize these correlations. He explained that he would think about the
subject over and over again and then ask Maharishi about the details of
some Vedic literature. While Maharisihi was explaining say how Nyaya works
Tony would perceive himself as if back in medical school and just hear the
vedic terminology as Maharishi was speaking as if it were physiologic
terminology. Then when he wanted to go deeper Maharishi told him to stay
in the room underneath his bedroom and hole up there in silence for 6
months.

After the general audience left he held a business meeting with the local
governors to go over their teaching issues etc. This too was conducted in
a refreshing style of openness.

Tony would speak to them as equals - fellow teachers - invite solutions and
then make a decision that usually pleased the group. He would remember
Maharishi's reasoning about an issue but if that did not apply he would
break with the old dogma and say "let's try this". I was surprised with
his flexibility and the lack of rigidity that used to be a real turn off for
me in dealing with movement administrators. My experience was that he was
coming more from the heart and less from the head. If you've attended
meetings with him before you probably have come to the same conclusions.

We're having lunch with him tomorrow and then he'll be addressing a few
hundred Indo-American doctors in Long Island - included are some of our
dentists. I'll let you know how that goes.

For now I have renewed hope and faith that the movement will endure under
the kinder more flexible leadership of Tony Nader.

Someone should send him a copy of David Wants to Fly so he can find out that
Maheshiji wasn't really a yogi… It must be embarrassing attempting to push
their vedic quantum dogmas to others as it still continues regular airplay on
US networks. Maybe then he could drop the phase transition BS. Does anyone
still fall for this empty rhetoric?

Thanks Rick,

yes we are. I had an army of guardian angels take care of me that day.

I had just arrived back from visiting clients and had been back in office
for not even 10 min when it happened. I then followed my gut feeling and
didn't get under my desk, instead under the one opposite - just in time
before bookshelves started flying around the room (the shaking was
unbelievably violent and clearly from a shallow quake) , followed by
computers, then the air-conditioning came down, the ceiling panels with it,
then pieces of concrete floor from the level above and the place I had sat
on got completely trashed. The desk I was under held up, was covered in
stuff and I had to dig myself out a bit from the stuff that had piled up in
front of the desk, but managed OK, then found my shoes (yes, very important)
but unfortunately no sign of my phone I had just put on the desk a few min
earlier (and with that no numbers and no access to calling my kids). So, I
grab my bag and some sodden files I could get my hands on and made it to the
others on the other side of the room. It turned out there were 6 of us
trapped, the others made it out via parking building or stairs and we could
see them down below on the carpark. We then had to try and smash a double
panel of safety glass, so that we could be picked up via a cherry picker.
Not an easy task, especially if you have to stop every so often to hide
under desk during aftershocks, where more ceiling panels and concrete piece
came down. But we eventually managed and then came the tricky bit of
climbing into the cage of cherry picker, with sharp glass poking at you from
all sides. Suffice to say I was glad there were no cameras around. Once we
were all out, we heard that the parking building had completely collapsed
(the one where I had just parked my work car) and later I heard that
after I had started walking home, the long way round, that the office floor
eventually gave way too and about 30min after our rescue had collapsed onto
floor below (you can see now what I meant with the army of guardian angels).
Walking and slipping in rainy weather, with slippery liquefaction sand
everywhere was a very surreal experience, on my way I was able to help out a
few people worse off, with supplies out of my trusty green bag (the one my
colleagues often make fun of, because it contains almost everything you
need, except a kitchen sink) - out came bandages, pain killers,
disinfectant, pens and paper, bananas, crackers and lollies etc. As I was
walking I knew it wasn't my day to have anything bad happen to me, but I was
worried about the kids and hopped that they remembered our plan and were
able to follow through. AS I got further away from the inner city, traffic
was no longer so stuck and after hitching two rides I made it home and found
both my daughter and my son at home with my dog - all in good health.
Marianna had been having a daay off work and was not in the inner city but
in her flat, from where a friend picked her up and dropped her home at my
place and Jonathan had been at Jazz school, on the 3rd level, he had left
his bass behind and got on his scooter and weaved his way safely home.

Once there we brought out our emergency kit (we were better prepared than
last time) and settled down at home, where there was virtually no damage,
except a few things strewn here and there and the dog was a bit neurotic,
but basically OK. WE had water but no power until the evening. I quickly got
cash out from ATM and queued for a short while for petrol, to ensure my car
was ready to go, in case we needed to leave or help out others.

My best friend was not so lucky, she had to walk even further than me, had
no car at home at all (I had a work car taken home the night before and she
used my car park place that day for her private car - we have no idea what
happened to it) So once power was on, I was able to help her out with a gas
cooker, a phone that needs no power, some water, a chilly bin with some icy
elements and a few other bits)

We just take one day at a time and see how we can support others as best we
can. Most of the families I work with are OK, one family I can't track down,
and I am sure they would have been evacuated, so I hope they are OK.

It's all a bit surreal.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.

Love

The following I received from a friend of mind. Its his response to a
recent email I sent out which I think you all received about Dr. Jill Taylor
Bolte. I think this is beautiful recollection of being on the IA course. I
emailed him once I read this and ask if I could send this out to all I know
in Fairfeld and he said it was OK but including his name was not important.
So I haven't.

Charles

"I would watch, however, we can't all have a massive stroke on the left, and
then nirvana on the right. We can all have transcending, if we can all
think a thought. And as Maharishi said "the time for talk is over." The
time for experience is from then on forward. All of the books and talk is
what has been going on. Transcending, transcending, transcending is what
the world needs. This will wake up the whole world, but those who
transcend first will wake up first. And as they wake up, they will know
they are waking up. And when they wake up, they will know what it means to
be awake. Most interesting was Maharishi saying after 50 years. "We are
inside there, inside there." Regarding peoples specific experiences. And
his saying "We are at the end of the journey. No more questions about life
and what am I." Yet also saying. " It is almost without limit where we can
go with this-"

And he said the shlok "Being devoted to me, I will work for you." - And the
other shlok. "Holding on to myself, I create again and again."
I find the challenge of being away from the dome a blessing. A true
challenge. Now I must learn to master what I discovered in the dome. I
don't know what will happen. But I know exactly what it means to think
inside the transcendent. I know that I am the disputable, pure, perfect,
forever fresh, Lord of the Universe, flowing as Lord, Love, and God, into my
indisputeable, individualtiy, with all of its limitations, and mortality.
I just am amazed at this awakening served up to my individuality, accepted
by me, and surrendered to me, by following Maharishi, by having the simple
intelligence to follow the path of truth in my own awareness, and to
recognize that Maharishi may be able to unveil life as I hoped. Maharishi
said at the end, "one with many memories."

Maharishi said during the course, "All good for everyone, none good for
no-one."

The key is innocence, just to be more innocent, to just do the program, to
do the meditation, to forget about all of the books, and fall, fall like
backwards, just let everything fall toward the brilliant intelligence of the
big self, and away from the dream of the relative illusion of the mortal
self. Fall through the flat white surface if it is there. Fall away from
the mantra if there is a deeper level there. Fall away from the sutra if
there is a deeper level there. Fall to innocence if there is a deeper
innocence there. Fall to your deepest level. Fall to brilliant
intelligence if there is a deeper intelligence there. And ones life will
work like this. And this will become the perfect function of the Big Self
and the Little self working correctly in action. This is where meditation
becomes yogi. This is where yogi becomes guru. This is where student
becomes teacher and respects teacher even more.

To stay awake, to wake up, to be there intellect still lively, attention
still awake, to remember in plain English what one is experiencing in the
depths. The experiences translate into language, and also one sees the
lighted and darkness of the depths. And once I observed while in the dome
the absolute perfection being disturbed by something, and I heard my
thought, no,no, don't move it. And I tried to hold on to the perfection.
And then the perfection took on the color of sky blue. I was the perfect
sky blue, but the perfection kept on morfing, and I took on the form of a
blue sphere, with other blue spheres, emerging onto the edge of the sky
blue. And I moved from the ocean through the sphere, as an amoeba of sky
blue back into my physical body. And I woke up literally lying on the foam
in the dome. It was 10 am and Bevan Morris was calling the meeting over the
loudspeaker. Can I ever forget this - I don't see how, because it brought
35 years of meditation to a new level of experience. And to talk about it
is not the experience. But my experience of life may be much different. I
just don't have alot of worry like before. I worry, then I reflect, then
how can I worry. I am not limited. I may be lost in a billion billion
billion billion fragments of individuality, but isn't then the game to
understand the game I play.

I live from one reality, one creation, one creator, one source code, one
entity, one primal rule book of life, which can only be read by experience,
experience, and more experience. And to talk about it, what a near waste of
time without experience exceeding talk, prayer, or other experience.
Experience the transcendent. No wonder I have no direction in the everday
working

[FairfieldLife] From a friend on Purusha in India

2008-01-24 Thread Rick Archer
Dear +++

Thanks for forwarding the message from Bevan. If you have been
following the events around Jan 12th, you'll know a lot of changes are
taking place now.

We finally got our new satellite dish up to watch the Jan. 12th
broadcasts.
Everyone listened very intently as Maharishi announced that he is
retiring, and seemingly has put everything in place for Maha Raja Nader
Ram, his Rajas, and the 12 Ministers to take over all aspects of the
Movement's guidance and administration. Maharishi has hinted at this
several times of over the past years, but there was a real sense of
finality about it this time. The underlying point of it all is that he
has been telling us all to be Self-Sufficient and not rely on him so
much anymore. We have the knowledge, we know what to do, and we have
our programme. So now only we have to hold fast to it.

As you may have heard, this is all happening now because it seems
Maharishi's health has taken a bad turn. Maharishi seems to have been
in the hospital for some days during silence. People in Vlodrop got
wind of it and even thought Maharishi had left the body. When they
heard on Jan 12th that Maharishi was back in Vlodrop and listening to
the celebration, it was a very emotional time for everyone. The Jan
19th message that Maharishi was continuing in Silence was, I suppose,
designed to reassure people in the field. And Raja John's latest
message that Maharishi is retiring "out of necessity" was very telling.

So we shall see what the year ahead brings us. It seems like much of
the day to day running of the Movement will be done by others now.
Maharishi just said a few days ago that he would withdraw into silence
to work on final commentaries of the Vedas.

It will probably be a very significant year for the TM Movement and all
of us.

Jai Guru Dev

Hi Herman,

here is a brilliant show, an amazing song (one of my really favourite),
with some (technical) levitation.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=kRG5dpFWFCE&mode=related&search =

Yah, these watchdogs, Jens saw them, I could help him get rid of them.
And on that level, he really is misbehaving.
in that session, he was giving wrong answers to why he is placing these things.
Yes, trying to keep us,
but EmC was pressing him

You can stop that on your personal level,
by getting rid of these influences.
But can you stop someone, who likes to steal, not to steal ?
Sometimes, robbers really stop robbing, when we do newjustice with them.
In one case,
http://members.fortunecity.com/joergdao/1nj2.html
it was really drastic. But it also was based on the ability of that woman,
to look into these things.

I don`t know what you get, when you work with that friend.,
who wrote this thing.
Input of his energy, trying to help you out of the other ?
I mostly would like to understand the whole thing, energy than will
follow.
So if people are deeply depended on Mr. M., where is their
gain in this deal ? Being free from the influence of their emotions ?
Which is mostly the case in nuns, where we looked into their emotions,
that`s why they get under the rigid influence of catholic orders.

When they like everything Mr. M. is doing and planning, is that
the defending, not to go on their own ?

I mostly don`t believe someone from outside doing something on the
energyy level.
If you can`t calculate mathematics, how can you work things out, when
someone suggests, that there is someone doing financial tricks ?
You get it ?

Most people are not on the level, to see these influences. And than what ?

I have two more insights from former TM-people, who seem to have No or
nearly no result out of TM,. and now are angry on Mr. M.
One was a mass murderer before, no surprise he can`t look deeper, the other,
quite known in the TM, was that guy before, who started the 1st world war with his
killing the austrian emperor. I was s shocked, when I saw that. What should I tell him ?
He has no idea about that.

So Mr. M., maybe seeing that, tries to keep these people around him ?

But I guess, everyone should be asked the questions:
How do you feel about mr. M.,
than look inside, and from there progress to become free from all
points, where one pledged enlightenment, being a teacher forever,
part of a tradition or whatever.
Some of these things are quite tricky.

One part in this friend of mine is, that he is VERY aggressive, all the
time. So working AGAINST Mr. M. is not the solution.

There is an amazing chapter in that story, called, the neverending story, about this.

Coming from a source, you later don`t try to go back and alter that source.
So if you ask me:
I got a lot from Mr. M., and I am still thankful about that, but progressed a lot
from 1985, when I left the TMO, and later through EmC and especially through FoS, I think,
we are very advanced above that, what TM is doing.

So when the idea of helping Mr. M. came about, he always said, we should
take care of our own, and not mind him.

So sometimes I like parts of his games, bringing out kings on the symbollic level,
maybe also enjoying the upheavel in people about this idioticy.
I just read the book, how the pope Johan Paul I. was killed after 33 days as
pope. Horrible.
You wouldn`t believe that, really.
It`s not even near what we would think people could do

When I was first time in lelystad, I was in many homes, and saw, there was a top five
of gurus. Amma, Meera, Sai Baba, but no Mr. M.

So I got one more detail, about what Mr. M. sometimes tries to
transform.
It`s the film Eyes wide shut.
I looked into the beginning, became bored, than later zappe into that part,
where only naked girls are walking all over that place, became quite agitated than,
and suddenly, there is a scene, where the boss in that building is questioning that
guy, that is played by Tom Cruise, who he is, etc.
This building and all those naked women are the stage to get in

and yet last summer, the movement bought a building
in NYC for 5 million bucks because it faces directly east.

however, when i visited there, i saw there is a huge

blocking all possible sun till about noon time.

other than that flaw tho, its a nice enough building

When the Cambridge center was sold in 1998, the word
was that the building on the other side of Chauncey
Street, which was maybe four stories high, was
blocking the morning sun. There were more issues at
the time than the placement of the door, which Dan
Luke had been working to relocate to the east, anyway.

Hi

We have had an interesting one. On top of the
'full-time or quit' directive, it now seems the
present location of the group in England (our version
of Fairfield) is unsuitable as there is too much
sunrise delay. So the instruction from above is that
the communal buildings can go on being used, but that
people should move out of the town!

Since the housing here is some of the cheapest in the
country I don't know how practical moving somewhere
else is going to be, but expect some lively
discussions.

I hear there are some nice empty 'SV' trailers over
your way - maybe they can fill them with refugee
Brits!
