Does have anyone a rscync line for me to get the whole FC3 tree to my
  local hdd?
I am still using some FC3 boxes, and dont want to miss the FL packages if
  i need some...

I wanted to do the same, but 'rsync download.fedoralegacy.org::legacy
legacy' told me I wasn't allowed to do that because I'm not a registered
mirror. The mirror page tells me mirror registration is disabled. Any
other way to get the tree without having to download each individual
 package?

Try it now.

You might ask over on CentOS. But beware: The social atmosphere is
not so congenial as here at FL.

umm. what?

I've found the centos community to be very helpful.

then again - I'm not sure what there is to need help on w/centos.
There's not much in the way of excitement w/it. That is, after all, the
point. :)

downtime or is the problem on my end?

this should be fixed, now.

Just a DoS, nothing to cause a panic before the holiday :)

From investigation and chatting w/ RH, seems only FC2 is affected by
this (and FC3 but RH is fixing FC3). They recommend we update FC2's
6.2.5-2 to 6.2.5.5. The update is supposed to be security and
serious bugfixes which fits into Legacy policy.

Can someone file a bug? This isn't a private issue, so public bug is
 fine.

Thats fine to advise us Jesse, but the server is down again:

no it's not.

I just checked it and I checked its monitoring stats - it's not been
down at all.

You sure your network hasn't been having issues?

Re: Old yum? New yum? Re: Typo in yum instructions

2005-10-31 Thread seth vidal

Yes, that is what I am saying here. It is not a great feat to write
a script which runs from cron and does if status is not zero then
download packages from this list. Of course when '--download-only'
option was available you did not have to write that script.

If you want to use --download-only there is a plugin for yum that will
enable that.
