The FAQ that Tyler posted here should answer this, read the section about the maintenance release. Well, actually, this can be worrying, too. What if something goes wrong in the process of transfering. Now Coda can claim it's your own fault, there is no need to keep the registration process up and running. Honestly, I am not saying that anything of the kind will happen. I am perfectly happy to use 2k4, but I think Dennis's opinion on this whole thing is a valid one, and I personally would have prefered Coda not to reintroduce copy protection. And saying it is no copy protection is of course complete nonsense. It is exactly what copy protection looks like these days. Thanks -- it seems that the only thing which has changed in the license is that Coda has been changed to MakeMusic. Actually, the end-user isn't in the table of contents and it isn't in the index and it isn't in the first chapter -- it's before the first chapter, and before How to Use the manual and before What's New, but I did find it. Wonder why they don't index it or list it in the table of contents? Maybe they don't want to draw attention to it?
