Nope, 10.7 is a separate tree altogether.
Anyway, if this is just a matter of copying my latest sed.info to another
place, I don't mind if somebody does it for me right away, though as always,
I'd greatly appreciate to get a brief notification about what was copied /
modified where and why.

It worked as-is, so I copied it over to the 10.7 tree shortly after I
sent the initial message.
