Re: [Fink-users] problem with zsh 4.3.2-1 after fink 0.8.1 update

2006-06-28 Thread François Giron
Thanks
I solved the problem with the locale variable:

export LANG=fr_FR.ISO8859-15

Could you edit the zsh.info file and remove the

 --enable-multibyte

option, recompile, and see if that cures the problem? If so, I will
make two zsh packages, one with and one without --enable-multibyte

Sorry for the hassle. I can't think of any other reason for this
 behavior.

Hello Brian.
The idea behind this is to ensure that scientists can install all the
packages that darwinports offers also by using Fink. I would like to
ensure that no one has to install Fink and darwinports, simply because
they need one or two packages that Fink does not offer yet.

I agree with you though. Growing the number of packages that Fink
offers to its scientific user base is a good asset and you are more
than welcome to submit packages you deem useful.

Are you using Apple's X11? It _should_ have the missing dylib, so
maybe you're just suffering from a missing file from your X11User
installation.

Yes using Apple's X11. I tried reinstalling it but the download from
Apple's site said I have newer software.

I was running pan fine, but since the last time I have updated to the
latest fink and 10.4.7

The downloadable version is for 10.3 only. You'll have to find it
from your 10.4 install media.

That's surprising, since updating Fink in no way would have touched
your X11 libraries. The only thing I can think of would be that you
were using an earlier pan before that didn't link libXinerama.

Try 'fink rebuild pan'.
