[Fink-users] fink crashes with beta Growl
If sued with a beta version of growl, Fink says: Use of uninitialized value $growl_version in string eq at /sw/lib/perl5/Fink/VirtPackage.pm line 1421. Which is down to the interpretation of Growl versions in Fink::VirtPackage. A fix would be to adapt the regexp to include 'b' in the version string. It was indeed a case-sensitive filesystem issue -- the source directory is lablGL-1.04. It should be fixed now; please run fink selfupdate and try again. I'm using the rsync selfupdate. and I got the very last release: fink list libftgl1-shlibs Information about 8140 packages read in 1 seconds. libftgl1-shlibs 2.1.2-4Shared libraries for FTGL I did check out again - same result. It doesn't include smbmount, presumably because Apple wants you to hit command-K. But the command-K interface doesn't understand DFS shares, which is a real bummer for those of us in offices including them. I can do this trick: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20020610225855377 But it also doesn't understand DFS. So I figure I need a real smbmount binary, or Thursby's DAVE.
