[Fink-users] Missing component ZenMap for NMap (10.7.2/4.2.1/64-bit)

2012-01-19 Thread Juan Courcoul
I was installing Fyodor's NMap scanner on Fink. The package source-installed
with no errors and is at the latest version (5.51)

However, the Fink package only installs nmap and does not include the GUI/X11
front-end, aka zenmap. And this is neither available as a separate install, at
least with the package listing obtained with a fink selfupdate.

I'm running:

Package manager version: 0.31.6
Distribution version: selfupdate-rsync Thu Jan 19 11:35:15 2012, 10.7, x86_64
Trees: local/main stable/main

on 10.7.2 Lion with Xcode 4.2.1.

zenmap would be available as a separate install if the package
description were available for Lion. :-)

If you want to try this out for yourself, you can:

1) Download zenmap.info

http://fink.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fink/dists/10.4/stable/main/finkinfo/net/zenmap.info?revision=1.1

2) Copy it into /sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo (create that
directory if needed).

3) See if it builds. Let us know what happens, either success or
failure.

Zenmap is now in 10.7. It may take a bit for it to hit the rsync mirrors.

Thanks, it has appeared already on my list of packages and has source-installed
without errors together with its dependencies.
