Yes, for a suitable definition of soon. I am currently moving (and have been

One thing I forgot to add is that I am also using Xquartz 2.6 and Xcode 4.

We don't support Xquartz on 10.6--any package that finds it needs to be
fixed to use the official X11 only.

Nor do we support Xcode 4 (yet).

Correct. The issue appears to me to be 32-bit vs. 64-bit typing of

You would indeed have to follow the X11 removal process from the FAQ.
GNOME _absolutely_ requires some form of underlying X11 (XFree86,
Xorg, Apple's) to work.

Are you using Apple's X11? It _should_ have the missing dylib, so
maybe you're just suffering from a missing file from your X11User

The downloadable version is for 10.3 only. You'll have to find it
from your 10.4 install media.

That's surprising, since updating Fink in no way would have touched
your X11 libraries. The only thing I can think of would be that you
were using an earlier pan before that didn't link libXinerama.

How about fink rebuild pan?
This seems similar to a problem I had with pan awhile back. In my

installed, and I use it every day. Works great.

Hi,

I tried to install pan-0.14.1-1, but it failed during

fixed the problem by installing gtk+2-dev manually.

[Fink-users] Pan failure - Illegal instruction

2002-10-31 Thread Mark DuPrey
The other night Pan failed to start for me. I unfortunately did not
write down the entire error but it ended with a single line Bus
error. The only recent change to my system had been the installation
of Open Office. This required some fiddling (moving and symlinking)
with libdl.dylib and libdl.0.dylib (from dlcompat) but worked just
fine. Pan also functioned after this so I don't believe this was the
problem but just to be sure I put everything back the way it had been.
I figured a cvs-update all couldn't hurt and might fix the problem. It
did - sort of. Now Pan fails with:

(Pan:930): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by C library

(Pan:930): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
Illegal instruction

At least it's a new error :-) Anyway, I was hoping someone could point
me in the direction of a fix. I have tried un-installing pan and
re-installing it which did not help. If it is of any use the contents
of the crash report are below. Thanks for any assistance.

Mark Skippy DuPrey

And the output of the crash report is

[Fink-users] pan from apt

2002-10-29 Thread Martin Sarajervi
[martin:~] ms% /sw/bin/pan
dyld: /sw/bin/pan multiple definitions of symbol _gmtime_r
/sw/bin/pan definition of _gmtime_r
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib(localtime.So) definition of _gmtime_r
Trace/BPT trap

Why would I get error as this one?

You can't use the binaries from apt-get on 10.2. They are not supported.

Additionally , you probably have libxpg4 installed. Remove it and it
might work.

[Fink-users] Pan don't work.

2002-09-06 Thread Andrea Riciputi

Hi,
I've installed pan, but when I start it all I get is:

[localhost:~] andrea% pan

** (pan:523): WARNING **: Couldn't load font Sans 10 falling back to
Sans 10

** (pan:523): WARNING **: Couldn't load font Sans 10 falling back to
Sans 10

** (pan:523): WARNING **: All font failbacks failed

Any suggestion?

Thanks,
Andrea.

[Fink-users] Pan

2002-02-28 Thread Riccardo Gusso

From the pan web site I see that release 0.11.2 (stable) has been released.
Since it has a lot of nice features that are missing in 0.11.1 and I see
that fink package pan 0.11.2-1 is in current-unstable section I was asking
myself when will it appear in cuurent-stable section.
Btw, what does the -1 in 0.11.2-1 means?
Bye.
 Rick
