[Flexradio] More on VAC and PowerSDR

2014-04-03 Thread David Edwards
Previously I wrote:

Using the Flex 5K, PSDR 2.7.2. Using VAC 4.13, WIN7 64 bit CW Skimmer and MMTTY.

Things work fine for a while then I change bands or some other minor
adjustment and the dreaded Whoops something went wrong with the audio. Sad
part is there are only a few thing to change and nothing works to get it
 going again

Upon additional investigation it seems that CW Skimmer is stable. That was the
first program I setup to use VAC PAIR 1

My thought was that I could run MMTTY or TrueTTY using the SAME VAC 1 PAIR
thinking the stream handle between PowerSDR and Skimmer would not persist
through a reboot. Just reboot and start MMTTY. I can not run TrueTTY or MMTTY
and keep getting an invalid stream audio whoops something went wrong error from
PowerSDR

Current thought is that I need to define a separate PAIR VAC for each program
because their configuration gets saved to windows registry and my error is
cause by trying to start MMTTY with skimmers VAC.

Can anyone confirm or refute this?

thanks

Re: [Flexradio] Flex 5K and VAC

2014-04-03 Thread Steve Sterling
Word I've heard is VAC 4.13 doesn't play well with PSDR. You need VAC
version 4.12. This has happened also in the past with older versions.
Some work great, others have problems. You can download 4.12 if you have
bought 4.13. Just take the link you receive, and edit the URL for the
4.12 version.

Good luck--
