Simple? I wish. It is probably possible to simplify the interface
some, but the code making the radio work is far from simple. I would
certainly be celebrating if the surprise was the implementation of Deep
Impact.

I have a consulting relationship with Flex and I continue to work on
advising them on their products.

I am really loving all of the build up.

See you all at Dayton. I will have my flex radio shirt on..

I think Neal has the right of it. Let's see what they come up with.

My only comment on this is that Flex has been selling a very nice
direct-sampling radio to the government for some time now. (The CDRX-3200.)
So they know how to build a DS radio AND they have the software to make it
work. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Wait and see what they come up with, they have been successful so far!

 Precisely.

As are we all, I'm sure!

Flex are being pretty scrupulous about managing the info to keep us guessing.
Even the keywords on their web home page don't let the cat out of the bag...
there's just a place-holder for new architecture.

There IS an interesting, single, reference to VR-Kernel in the web page
keywords, however. H

They really have grown, staffing-wise as well as expertise-wise, in the last
two years.

Those of us in this area of the hobby remember back 3+ years concerning Flex
and they have dramatically changed.

Nice that the change is for the better!

I would be surprised at that. Last year at Dayton I asked about Deep

Hi Wayne,

I agree, Flex has stopped being a Software Radio company.

They need a bunch of SW/DSP gurus on the payroll, and not simply rely on
the free gratis of the the brain trust of Bob M and Frank B.
