Simple? I wish. It is probably possible to simplify the interface some, but the code making the radio work is far from simple. I have a consulting relationship with Flex and I continue to work on advising them on their products. I am really loving all of the build up. See you all at Dayton. I will have my flex radio shirt on.. Re: [Flexradio] \Deep Impact\ By Another Name?
I am really loving all of the build up. As are we all, I'm sure! Flex are being pretty scrupulous about managing the info to keep us guessing. Even the keywords on their web home page don't let the cat out of the bag... there's just a place-holder for new architecture. There IS an interesting, single, reference to VR-Kernel in the web page keywords, however. They really have grown, staffing-wise as well as expertise-wise, in the last two years. Those of us in this area of the hobby remember back 3+ years concerning Flex and they have dramatically changed. Nice that the change is for the better! 73 Neal On May 14, 2012, at 6:07 PM, Barry Jablonski wrote: Neal, You are 100% correct -- My apologies to the great Flex SW team. Re: [Flexradio] Deep Impact By Another Name?
I would be surprised at that. Last year at Dayton I asked about Deep Impact and Flex said it's a philosophy, not a product. 73 Wayne K4ELO On Sun, May 13, 2012, at 04:26 PM, Jerry Coufal wrote: It probably won't be called Deep Impact but Deep Impact by any other name will still be Deep Impact and it will make complex things simple! ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/ ___ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/

Hi Wayne, I agree, Flex has stopped being a Software Radio company. They need a bunch of SW/DSP gurus on the payroll, and not simply rely on the free gratis of the the brain trust of Bob M and Frank B.
