If I'm reading this correctly...I am using them in the autopilot code and the
pilot-offset-not-to-be-confused-with-Jon's-definition-of-pilot-offset code
(GUI/sgVec3Slider.cxx).

Yes, that's what we're doing right now.  Otherwise, I really don't know
enough about it right now to even speculate whether or not we would be
