2012-12-22 Thread Clement de l'Hamaide

I have had no contact with them either by
phone or otherwise.

http://equipe-flightgear.forumactif.com/t899p30-pour-une-meilleur-integration-des-travaux-de-la-paf-dans-flightgear#15971
In English the last line is let me know when you're ready and I call him

http://equipe-flightgear.forumactif.com/t899p45-pour-une-meilleur-integration-des-travaux-de-la-paf-dans-flightgear#16025

In English the second line is I've just talked during a long time with
Emmanuel (more than one hour !!!)

leaves IRC very quickly when I arrive

??? hmmm someone can explain me ? Emilian ? James ? Christian ? Gijs ? Jean ?
David ? Anders ? Have I left IRC because helijah was connected on IRC ?

I never removed the header indicating the authors

Some example :
Original file created by PAF team :
https://gitorious.org/paf/fgdata/blobs/master/Aircraft/DR400-jsbSim/Dialogs/checklist/checklists-text.xml
File currently on GIT repo :

Original file created by PAF team :

File
 currently on GIT repo :

Should I continue ?

In the 3 first examples this is missing :
!--

 # DR400-jsbSim by PAF team
 # April 2012 : Modified by PAF team
 # http://equipe-flightgear.forumactif.com

##--

In the 2 last examples the header copyright has been changed : the destinated
project of my contribution is now DR400 and the forum URL of PAF team is
removed from dr400.nas / replaced by my personal website URL ( ??? ) from
electrical.nas
Firstly my contribution was originaly written for the DR400-jsbSim project
(Imagine that profightsim change the header of the file from This file is part
of FlightGear by This file is part of proflightsim... here is exactly the
same)
Secondly I don't understand why my personal website URL is in these files ! My
personal life has nothing to do with these file. I use my website for personal
and professional use and I've never wanted to see this URL in these files.

Currently the GIT repo is not GPL compliant at all...
Now I leave you conclude and make what is necessary in order to stop all of
these.

Cheers,
Clément

Better take the drame to your own forum...

This all just leads away from the issue raised by Emilian: the DR400 document
that Emanuel uploaded contains a copyright notice that is not compatible with
the GPL. The author of the document agreed to release it under the GPL (as can
be read at the forum), but the current copyright notice in the document says
otherwise.

So, either the document should be removed from Git, or its copyright notice
should be modified so it corresponds to the GPL.

That makes no sense at all. I'll write it off to a collision between your

Regardless, this crap doesn't belong on the developer list. This is

 Hi Clement

Yes it is really sad to see such commit messages.

But maybe the PAF team also thinks too concurrently in headers, gpl and
copyright notice and file descriptions here. Maybe the PAF team has to take
into account that Helijah spent half of his life contributing to flightgear
models and this needs some personal respect and not only respecting gpl
terms. For me personally the contribution of the PAF is very welcome, but to
be honest, it has not the same history like the contribution of Emanuel. Even
when it sounds strange to you, try to talk to him directly.

I guess no one here wants to judge about small coyright thinking and who was
first, who violates gpl by gpl and other childish games (which points
mainly to Emanuel, who is responsible for many reallly bad commit messages,
forum messages, in a really bad manner).

But at the end here we are all volunteers, and the best you can do, the best
the PAF team can do for the project is ... keep your work up, get commit
rights and commit and try to communicate in a good way, a long time.

Never blame others for doing this or that to make us judge about who is
right. Helijah does it the hidden way in his commit messages, everyone
knows and ignores, but you do it here officially in the list. Don't think
people here are so stupid that they do not realise what's going on.

The Flightgear Project made the bad mistake to miss to split the code into
core and plug-ins with fg/sg vs. parts of fgdata, making it possible to
have hangers for example. Maybe the core devs will make a better decision
about this once, or when the current core team realise what fgdata has become
 actually, or another core team.

Lets say thanks to all fgdata contributors who makes not that much noise and
are patient all the days, really.

Hi Yves,

This will be my only response to these people, here (the devel list is
not make for that !).

Contrary to what Clement said, I have had no contact with them either by
phone or otherwise. In addition they have completely closed their forum
to me (By banning outright. Congratulations form the right of reply and
freedom) and leaves IRC very quickly when I arrive :). They are fault
and they know it. I have no time for people like that.

On header files, I never removed the header indicating the authors (file
.nas of Clément, texture of Patten etc. .. check yourself). Simply some
xml files that I myself spent a lot of time to rebuild saw a header
signigiant the creators was the PAF. This being so totally wrong it was
logical to remove it. Respect is also not to crush what others have done.

The aircrafts of my hangar are not mine !. They are modeled for you
before anything else. The men of the PAF do not support this and will do
anything to tarnish my reputation. I have only one thing to do. Continue
to provide aircraft for the enjoyment of many.

If their forum PAF is inaccessible to me, you must know that everyone
can come and talk on the forum that I had to create after their
banishment. But they do not come. Worse than that. The few people who
dared to come on my forum have received several threatening mail from them.

I say more. Faced with this type of behavior, that only the honesty and
truth can succed. So I will continue to modeling the aircrafts. Time
will do the rest.

For those who have doubts, I have only one thing to say. Come talk about
it on the forum http://embaranger.free.fr (you'll never be banished
because I support always and forever freedom of expression).

Now, crying in devel list, is an effective way to annoy people by
putting the blame on another. It is simply shameful them. But it appears
that they can not make me abandon FG so they try all other means.

Regards Emmanuel
