It is strange to me to see my mail in your mailing list response. Is it
not supposed to be hidden ? Even for respect to people privacy ?
If you are referring to the fact that the From header shows your own
email address, it is fairly common practice for mailing list managers to
leave the From header intact.
I'm asking because suppose that I don't want to be spammed because of
this, it would be hard to stop spams, even with appropriate tools...
Depends on the tools I suppose; I don't imagine that yahoo.fr gives you
many options, however, it is common practice for people who communicate
on mailing lists to use email addresses that are different from their
``primary'' email address as a simple way of stopping spam.
I have configured my MUA to use a timestamped unique email address for
every unknown recipient which guarantees that if you respond to an email
that I have sent to you, I will receive it for a period of time, after
which it will automatically expire and further replies will require
human thought to solve a problem (e.g. you will get a bounce indicating
that the email address has expired and with instructions to send the
email instead to a new email address---I don't know of any spam bots
that have figured out how to deal with this).
