I think it's a matter of personal taste. I quite like a list, and many
web UIs are lists, though normally with a little metadata or file
attributes.(sourceforge and github come to mind).
Anyway, no big deal.

Whilst I have no love for IE, I think it is a poor idea for fossil to look

low as 25%, but that is still a quarter of all potential users.
