RE: Report Writer
G'day Noman, I have a similar situation occurring at one of my sites (although it occurred on demand reports as well) and raised a CAR (see #165). Apparently, if you are using a Style B control processor (I guess this would include a CP60) and an AW that is NOT a Style E there is some kind of speed mismatch that will not allow the Report Writer to extract more than 29 consecutive parameters from a CP. Has anyone else had an experience that can confirm/deny the above? I'm told that the target version for a fix for this is V6.3, but I think I'll test it first before informing the customer. Does anyone know what the official release date of V6.3 is? I hope everyone runs suitably amok on New Years Eve. Re: Report Writer
Hi Norman Nic, We have various problems with the good old Report Writer (and legacy Informix historian). One of our reports broke after upgrading to I/A version 4.3. It was a two page report that would only print the first page (the second page had only the missing data dashes - - - - -) when run from the scheduler. When run on demand it would work fine. FoxTac never could duplicate the problem when I sent the report file to them, never could come up with an explanation. Finally got tired of calling them created two separate single page reports. This report had 24 hourly averages from about 25 points, was running on an old AW51B and CP40s, and worked fine under 4.2.3. Nic's idea about the timing sounds like a likely cause of our problem. FoxCAE 4.0
Greetings for the new year! I have a question about FoxCAE, version 4.0. I have a database already residing in a CP that I want to backdocument, and would like FoxCAE to generate a tag list from the CP database. Is this possible under version 4.0? RE: Alarm Formats
It's fixed. There is no description that I'm aware of in the documentation other than a discontinued system messages B0 book. Sorry about that.
