OK ,
You are absolutely right for the security purpose and to avoid misuse of
information. Now I will unubscribe from this hotmail address and I am going
to subscribe on my mail at company's ID.

Hi list,

I appreciate Ted Jirik's concern about possible misuse of highly technical
information that is freely exchanged on this list. After all, we operate on
the basis that each one of us is who we say we are (or imply that we are).

Identifying the subscribers is made much easier on this list since most
(90%) of you subscribed to the list using your company-supplied e-mail
address. Barring the possibility of somebody posting to the list with a
forged From: address, it's fairly easy to decipher for whom the subscriber
works.

The problem arises when some subscribers, for any number of reasons, use
the
freely available webmail addresses (yahoo.com, hotmail.com, bigfoot.com,
etc.) that effectively mask the real identity of the subscribers. Included
in this category are those using regular ISPs (eg. aol.com) or home
addresses. My personal e-mail, for example, is [EMAIL PROTECTED] which is my
own virtual domain. This is easily deduced using whois data, but others are
not so easily pinpointed.

To allay this security concern, I strongly recommend that every poster
include some identification data at the end of your posting so others have
some knowledge of you and your company, especially if your e-mail address
is
not a company-provided one. This is, after all, basic etiquette for
participating in a mailing list.

As a list, we can tacitly enforce this by not responding to postings that
lack this identifying information.

Administratively, I'll try to do some off-line vetting with new subscribers
also.

Please let me know if you have any concern about this or any other issue.

Regards,

Duc M. Do

Hello All,

In light of the recent events which underline
the need for security I thought it might be a
good idea to see how users of this list might
feel about posting a description of themselves
with contact information.

This might allow us to refrain from supplying
critical system information to those who would
not identify themselves.

I'll begin,

My name is Ted Jirik, I worked for Foxboro
for 15 years. I currently have my own business
providing programming services to Foxboro

2001-08-31 Thread dhawly hawpyt

Thanx a Lot.

Our AW51B has crashed and we have to replace by new one.

And We are not having AW51B But in our other plant AW51C is spare .

1.If some how we get same AW51B then also what is the procedure to
replace sun box? As MAC Address will be changed of AW Box ,is it required to
reboot the each CP? Can we just replace it or something is to be done?

2And we have to replace AW51B by AW51C which we can get immediatelly
,then also what is to be done? Is sysdef is to be changed? And same
questions as above also?

Thanx a lot in advance

Re: Return Alarm

2001-08-31 Thread dhawly hawpyt

Actually we have used single bit for Pump Status. If status changed to 1
means pumps has started and if it has changed to 0 pump has stopped.

We have used SAO = 1 means state change option true
IVO = 0 Invert option false
INVALM = 1 Invert Alarm Option false means it will give alarm only for state
change from 1 to 0 means when pump is stoppped and it will give return alarm
for 0 to 1 and RTN is not coming on CAD and also not giving horn.

If INVALM =0 then it will give alarm for state change from 0 to 1 means when
pumps is started and it will give return alarm for 1 to 0 and RTN is not
coming on CAD and also not giving horn.

I require for both state change from 0 to 1 from 1 to 0.

Shawly Hawl

Have you tried SAO = TRUE and SCOPT = 1 (for all transitions)?
