CSV utilities for making CSV files. Does not read data from CSV files yet -
just creates CSV.
p
I searched the internet for simple routines to create CSV files and could not
find any. The ones I found were either overly complicated, or they didn't
create proper CSV files. So I built some procedures that create CSV cells and
create new rows.
p
These CSV utils are compatible with Microsoft Excel so quotes are doubled
together and the data is comma delimited. However, you can specify any custom
delimiter and encloser.
p
For optimization this utility can write to memory using a capstring (enhanced
chunk growing ansistring). In the future there will be an option to write
directly to a file.

Author : Alex Vaneev

FTP site : ftp://ftp.mosfilm.ru/pub/fpc/russian/fpchrc.rar
Version : 1.0
Date : 2006-11-22
Category : File Handling
Supported OS : ALL
Description :
In this archive you can find sources of a so called HRC-compressor and
decompressor. HRC is a rather simple compression scheme that was basically
derived from Lempel-Ziv scheme, but with one addition: classical LZ pair
offset, length was changed to length, offset, length, where first length
contains number of bytes to copy as is from input stream to output stream.
brbr
Two compression methods were implemented: fast and slow. Fast method uses hash
table to find repeating patterns and thus works rather fast - almost equal
to decompressor in speed. In slow scheme a binary AVL-tree was additionally
used which considerably slowed down compression speed, but increased
compression ratio. A byte-oriented RLE compression is also used during
compression which often increases compression ratio a lot. In average,
compression algorithm works rather effectively for any type of data.

Version : 0.8
Date : 2006-09-09
Category : Graphics
Supported OS : Win32
Description :
WinGraph comes from the WINdows GRAPHics unit. It is a unit written in Pascal
for graphics programming under Win32. The source code is compatible with Free
Pascal 2.0.4 and Delphi 7 compilers. This unit is intended to be a replacement
of the standard Free Pascal's Graph unit for Win32 operating system. The later
is highly compatible with the legacy BP graph unit for DOS, but, at the same
time, it is slow and not very usable. In WinGraph all routines are implemented
using Win32 GDI API calls (no VCL). So this offers good speed, quick coding, a
certain degree of compatibility with BP graph unit and several extensions
specific to Win32 GDI system. It also initializes the OpenGL driver for doing
more complex graphics and allows mixing the WinGraph and OpenGL drawing
routines. After calling the initialization routine the unit starts a dedicated
thread and a GUI window for drawing. You can add keyboard and mouse support to
your graphical program by using specific units WinCrt and WinMouse (included).
Be aware that the unit is not entirely BP compatible.

Category : Internet
Supported OS : Windows, Gnu/Linux, Other
Description :
Fast HTML Parser. Was originally for GUI programs in Delphi, but I have created
this package to work as a command line tool with freepascal. No issues came up
when compiling with FPC 2.0.0.
p
This fast html parser can be used to dissect html into it's pieces.
p
Example: if you want to find text inside the bold or Italic tag I show you how
to do this in the demo program. If you want to dissect all the tags at once,
the demo program shows you how.
p
If you want to grab content from other people's website using this parser, you
could use it in FPC CGI programs.
p
When you are analyzing HTML, this parser is fast and precise, and your code
will be easier to maintain over say the sloppy regex way of doing things.
pre
Update:
-Version 1.0b now contains an ExecUpCase function
-all tags can be found by 'TAG' even if source
file you parse contains tag or TaG

Supported OS : All
Description :
The Exceller8 (XLR8) project is an effort to create a open source graphics API for the
Pascal community. XLR8 provides the fundamental mechanisms for allocating,
manipulating and painting to bitmaps stored in conventional memory. It takes care of
rgb encoding, pitch, clipping and blitting on it's own. It does not rely on any
operating system for these tasks.

As such, XLR8 can be used to complement any graphics foundation that expose or accept
pointers to bitmap data. API examples are DIBS, TrollTech QT PixMaps, the VESA
framebuffer, and DirectX surfaces.
