I guess it's a misfeature. It should be enabled by default. Feel free to enable it locally. Note I have not said it should be enabled unconditionally as there may be edge cases (high-load servers) when extra processing may be undesirable. ___ freebsd-net@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-net To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-net-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"

net.inet.tcp.pmtud_blackhole_detection
Hello. Running 11.3, is there any risk or downside in enabling this? I cannot reach my homebanking otherwise; I think either the bank has completely disabled ICMP or some router in between filters it. I see it's not enabled by default: is it just out of precaution? bye & Thanks av. ___ freebsd-net@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-net To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-net-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=235607 --- Comment #13 from Vincenzo Maffione --- (In reply to Jorge Schrauwen from comment #11) I see. For your information on freebsd-current now bhyve supports the offloads when the netmap(4) VALE(4) backend is used (instead of TAP). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ freebsd-net@freebsd.org mailing list https://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-net To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-net-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
