Can't make work HLDS + bots
Hello: Im using a HLDS (Half-Life Dedicated Server) plus Admin-mod and tsc mod. I've tried some bots, like bsdbot and joebot, and all seems to make segmentation fault, I don't know why. I've tried to compile a couple of them, but without success. Is anyone using HLDS + any bot with success on FreeBSD-4.7 ? I would like to hear it, and tell me what I must do to make them work... Is it possible to boot a FreeBSD-installation from a USB Mass Storage Disk (UMSD) ?
Hello: I have a UMSD, and I was thinking of intalling a laptop with a FreeBSD partition. The problem is that I haven't receive the laptop yet, and I don't have enough room in my own laptopso I was thinking about the possibility of installing a FreeBSD on this UMS device, and using my own lapton to boot this little 128 Mbytes-FreeBSD. Do anyone know if this can be done ? PS: I only have Windows on my laptop :( -- JFRH. To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe freebsd-questions in the body of the message
Quake2 and server-side bots/mods problems
Hello: I'm trying to install some server-side mods to get some bots on my Quake2 server, but I've tried with Eraser and Lithium (and more I don't remember right now), but I haven't had any success. I'm using a CVSuped version of Quake2 that supports IPv6 (http://www.viagenie.qc.ca/en/ipv6/quake2/ipv6-quake2.shtml), which compiles without problem in my FreeBSD-4.5 When I try to use Eraser or Lithium, I usually obtain this problem: jrh@pulgon:/usr/home/jrh/.quake2$ ./quake2 +set dedicated 1 +set game lithium Quake 2 -- Version 3.21+rCVS Added packfile ./baseq2/pak0.pak (1106 files) using /home/jrh/.quake2/baseq2/ for writing Added packfile /home/jrh/.quake2/baseq2/pak0.pak (1106 files) using /home/jrh/.quake2/lithium/ for writing execing default.cfg execing config.cfg --- Loading gamei386.so --- LoadLibrary (/home/jrh/.quake2/lithium/gamei386.so): Undefined symbol ___brk_addr ERROR: failed to load game DLL Error: Error during initialization I don't understand the meaning of __brk_addr error. It could be anything related to the Linux emulation ? Has anyone tried to do this before ? Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks. -- JFRH. Tool for mounting a FreeBSD partition in Windows
Hello: I was wondering if anybody knows some tool for being able to mount a FreeBSD partition under Windows. A friend has just shown me a program to mount ext2fs, does anybody know about a similar tool for BSD ? Thanks! -- JFRH. Tux Racer over FreeBSD (port linux_base-7 doesn't exists ?¿)
Hello: I've just bought the game Tux Racer, which runs nice on Windows and Linux. I've also got an NVivia Riva TNT2, so the game should work well when the NVidia people or someone release the GLX accelerated driver for FreeBSD. But when I try to install it, the following message appears: This software doesn't run with glibc-2.1 over FreeBSD. So, I tried to upgrade the linux emulation, but I've discovered that doesn't exist anything under /usr/ports/emulator/linux-base_7 What's happening with this port ? Do you think Tux Racer will someday run over FreeBSD ? Regards :) -- JFRH. To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe freebsd-questions in the body of the message
