To play audio stream:
mplayer -playlist 'http://shoutcast.kuow.org:8002/listen.pls'
To dump the audio stream to file:
mplayer -dumpstream -dumpfile foo.mp3 -playlist '... URL ...'

dumpstream {=news= to me!} and play back whenever!
