For what it's worth, I've noticed that running MegaCli pops out a few of those messages, but only if I don't have the 32-bit compatibility libs installed on my amd64 system. Once lib32 gets installed, the messages go away. If you're comfortable with your C coding fu, change the driver to print the error that triggers the message as part of the message.
