Don't do that.


 Im curious as to why not?

Because it doesn't make sense to break accounting records that are
correct. Fix what's wrong instead.

Hi Jeremy,

I had exactly the same need as you, except I wanted my rollover to take 
place on an hourly basis for live accounting.

That's because your billing program can't count.


Youre right, it merely sums totals of AcctInputOctets, AcctOutputOctets for all 
records that occur during that month.

Have a look at default queries in counter.conf.
