I know this is a security board but this hits a little to close to home for me. On/off boyfriend and gf, she was at his place and then was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head. Neither one tested for gunshot residue on their hands and the gun didnt have any prints. His mom, dad, 2? local pd and a lawyer were on the scene before the primary murder investivators. The suspect was allowed to enter a restroom and change clothes is all that ISP reported since they didnt observe him. They walked into a crime scene with possibly a shooter and let him go to another room? Let alone to change clothes and wash his hands or? Illinois State Police allowed the suspect to change clothes is all they report. After all were done talking, he was allowed to go to Denny's for breakfast. He has yet to cooperate with police. The twist. His mom and dad are Police in a neighboring county. They were on scene before anyone, except the lawyer or cleaner of the gun. They had a coroner's inquest. Undetermined. The parents were allowed to ask police 3 questions of the investigators and states attorney. WTF? (Why did that asshole kill my daughter?) if you need a laugh look up Carbondale, IL Police. They cant do shit right. A few years ago one tried to rob a bank. At least he was off duty. If you think you have it bad, think of Molly's family. I feel sorry for Ritchie Minton, the ex. No matter what, he's done for. He is a punk and needs dealt with. Look up his myspace. Thats all thats left but last I checked it was open and full of crazy shit. Maybe a plot for crazy? software piracy has been around for ever. I remember copying punch cards. It took forever and if you made one mistake hours of work was down the tubes. I had an apple II that we used Disk Pirate 1-11 to copy games, peach tree accounting software, etc. In the time it took to load the 5 1/4 floppy you could make a copy. From that you could make as many copies as you deemed fit. I must of made $100 from Dig Dug alone. Then came cad or ? with a software lock it was a piece of hardware that connected to a serial port on your computer. Without the lock the software was dead. You were free to use the software on any computer but you had to have the lock. More computers simply buy more locks. It has been so long I forget the details but it was effective. If you tried to reverse engineer the lock you rendered it dead. No one wanted to buy the locks so it went with the dodo... In this day and age piracy is simply a game that is quite profitable. We used to copy and share over bbs' or even mail each other copies. Shareware was the cats ass. Now I have to buy a new OS every frickin year. New version of Office, Photoshop, etc. Frick that! I love Win 98SE, it still serves my purpose. I love win 2k pro, it serves my purpose. Vista, Win 7, MAc OSes... Crap, pure crap. Photoshop 5 does all I need. Office 97 works great and has a nifty flight sim in it. Win 7 is still frickin Dos... I still have my copies of Dos versions 3- 6.2 and it serves its purpose. Do I use dvd decrypter? Yes. Dvd shrink? Hell yes. Do I sell the copies or profit from it? Whenever I can.
