No, there can only be one sidebar and only one tab can be visible in
it at the one time.

 I want this because I find the documents sidebar more effective than the
 window tabs when there are more than a half dozen files open, but I also use
 the symbols sidebar heavily.

I want this because I find the documents sidebar more effective than the
