I can't imagine your emails being stored in there. Firefox doesn't deal with email. But you can simply mv ~/.mozilla/firefox ~/.mozilla/firefox.backup instead of deleting it just to be safe.

This just reminded me of why I don't use apps that do more than one thing at the same. If they fsck up, you might lose more than one thing.

I don't use Firefox, I use Seamonkey. Everything is in the ~/.mozilla directory here. Dale :-) :-)

This just reminded me of why I don't use apps that do more than one thing at the same. If they fsck up, you might lose more than one thing. I been using Seamonkey for about 6 years now. I've changed hard drives and did a clean reinstall recently. I have yet to loose a single byte of data. I even manage to keep emails when I change email addys. Works so far. After all, all that is in there is emails. If I had a setting problem, I would just delete everything but the email directory. Dale :-) :-)
