[gentoo-user] gtkpod won't start

The emerge of gtkpod didn't give any errors, but it's not in the menu nor 
does it start from the command line:

 app-pda/gtkpod-0.99.8-r1 merged.

 No packages selected for removal by clean
 Auto-cleaning packages...

 No outdated packages were found on your system.
 * GNU info directory index is up-to-date.

Which menu? Gnome? KDE? FVWM?

That has it all. Is your $DISPLAY variable set correctly? Is this the same 
user who started the X session?

BTW: I asked you before: Please post only the relevant information and stop 
cluttering your posts with useless output such as date 
or /etc/gentoo/release. This only makes it harder to find the really 
relevant stuff.
