Go to www.gentoo.org, click the view our CVS link on the sidebar,
scroll down to the sys-kernel folder, go to the gentoo-sources folder,
right-click the link to your preferred ebuild, and Save Link As to your
Overlay folder, from which you can then digest and emerge it.

It looks like you can grab it from cvs: 
http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources/.  Use it 
at your own risk.  It's been a while since I used a 2.4 kernel (before my 
gentoo days).
