Hi all,

Does anyone know how to change the application font sizes? What I mean
by this is the font sizes used to display the menus in firefox, open
office and other programs. I run fluxbox.

Currently they are quite large and I would like to decrease them.

check /.mozilla/firefox/{salted}.default/chrome/userChrome-example.css

Its a problem with all my apps though, x-chat, openoffice, firefox...
et al. I am about to try what Holly suggested.

I take it you don't have GNOME installed (beyond the gtk libs needed to
 run Firefox)?

 Then try gtk-chtheme

I have a similar problem with the options in Ethereal under kde. The font is a
little bit small and nothing under kde's control center allows modification
of the fonts inside the ethereal gui.(File Edit View Go Capture.)
My problem may also be less than robust font options is my xorg.conf file.

gtk-chtheme did not seem to fix the problem.

any other ideas?

James

 Thanks

Ok solved the problems:

1. Firefox
I had to change to DPI setting under Edit Preferences Content
Advanced to Sytem setting and that sorted it out.

2. Open Office
Thanks to afv-13 for this assistance: exporting
OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome ooffice fixed up Open Office. Here is a bit
more: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Beautify_GNOME#OpenOffice

Thanks all for the suggestions. Holly thanks again for that app.

Cheers
Rav
