I can confirm the flaw for gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r2. The -r1 was good, though.

for the ck-sources look at:

http://packages.gentoo.org/packages/?category=sys-kernel;name=ck-sources

it's marked as bug # 106405 (already closed )

I've encountered the exact same error when compilling
gentoo-sources-2.6.13-r1 and -r2 as well, so I've downgraded back to
 2.6.12-r9.
And I don't know about the ck5 sources, what it is nor what it does..
 thx for a quick enlightenment

[gentoo-user] c-sources, 2.6.13-ck5 corrupt.

2005-09-20 Thread Jerry McBride

Anyone else notice that the ck5 version of the ck-sources is flawed?
Each atempt to emerge it results in a failure at during modules build at:

drivers/pcmcia/yenta_socket.c: In function `yenta_probe':
drivers/pcmcia/yenta_socket.c:986: error: `KERN_ERROR' undeclared (first use
in this function)
drivers/pcmcia/yenta_socket.c:986: error: (Each undeclared identifier is
reported only once
drivers/pcmcia/yenta_socket.c:986: error: for each function it appears in.)
drivers/pcmcia/yenta_socket.c:986: error: parse error before string constant
make[2]: *** [drivers/pcmcia/yenta_socket.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [drivers/pcmcia] Error 2
make: *** [drivers] Error 2

Ftping vanilla sources from kernel.org and manually applying the ck5 patch
from con's server results in a clean compile.

If anyone else has a similar result, notify me and I'll post a bug...
