Have you tried the PDFTK? It's in portage. Give it a try. Best Em 20-11-2015 01:39, the...@sys-concept.com escreveu: I'm trying to use "pdfjoin" to combine two different page size pdf files but it will not let me. Is it possible. I don't see any switches to ignore page size.

It should work just to have XFCE call the script with %N, and it's probably easiest this way. If you really don't want to call a script, you could try setting the positional arguments with the shell command "set --". Cheers, Bryan pgpXT_glgEKaE.pgp Description: OpenPGP digital signature

I use pdf2ps, cat ps1 ps2 ps3 > final.ps, ps2pdf I think these come in some postscript package (at least they did in debian).

[d531][waltdnes][~] equery b pdf2ps * Searching for pdf2ps ... app-text/ghostscript-gpl-9.15-r1 (/usr/bin/pdf2ps) It's supplied by ghostscript. Used to be that I could have a machine without it, but now half of GNOME gets pulled in by gnumeric. Gnumeric is a really nice spreadsheet, but I prefer the old days when it didn't pull in dbus/goffice/harfbuzz/ghostscript/etc/etc/etc. -- Walter DnesI don't run "desktop environments"; I run useful applications

[gentoo-user] combining pdf files, different size
I'm trying to use "pdfjoin" to combine two different page size pdf files but it will not let me. Is it possible. I don't see any switches to ignore page size. -- Thelma

I have this command from no-idea-where to concatenate PDFs using Ghostscript (all credit to wherever it's from :), and a quick test seems to show it working for different page sizes (the pages retain their respective sizes). If you like the "-join" suffix then use this script: #!/bin/sh exec gs -dBATCH -dNOPAUSE -q -sDEVICE=pdfwrite \ -sOutputFile="$(basename "$1" .pdf)-join.pdf" "$@" Cheers, Bryan pgprH1vMVFPCw.pgp Description: OpenPGP digital signature

With "pdfjoin" it automatically creates the last_name_file + "-join.pdf" suffix. In XFCE in "Configure Custom Action" menu entry I added: pdfjoin %N so highlighting several pdf files it gives me output file name "-join" if I run it again on same file I get: "-join-join" With "pdfunite" it overrides the same file name. -- Thelma
