[Geoserver-users] Blurry WMS style icons

2014-04-03 Thread Thomas Jahnsen
Hello

I have WMS layers set up in GeoServer that uses SLD¹s with ExternalGraphic
links to PNG images. When I produce WMS GetMap images, the icons are a lot
blurrier (antialiased) than they are in the original image. The SLD
declares the icons' native size.

What are the options to control antialiasing of external icons in WMS
images? And is there a way to get exact pixel copy from source image (icon
file) to target image (WMS map) when the icons use the correct size?

I¹m also noticing that the blurriness varies with the zoom level from
very blurry, quite blurry, and exactly the same as the source image. The
SLD doesn¹t have scale differences. It leads me to the theory that the
icons are drawn at some fractional pixel. If this is the case, is there an
option to fix ExternalGraphics to the nearest whole pixel?

Kind Regards,

Thomas Jahnsen

[Geoserver-users] New projection/gridSet for all layers in embedded GWC

2012-03-28 Thread Thomas Jahnsen
Hello

I have a GeoServer instance with 100+ layers, which up until now have been
served as normal WMS. Some of them are slow, so we hope to cache them with the
embedded GeoWebCache.

We display our maps in UTM-33N (EPSG:32633), and I need to make a cache for
this custom grid. I have created a geowebcache.xml file in the cache
directory and added only a GridSet with our existing extent and resolution
list. The log file says the gridSet is read, but it doesn't do anything further
with it. I hope to see the grid listed in the GWC demo page, but it only has
LatLon (4326) and Google Mercator (900913).

How can I make a gridSet available for all layers without having to list them
in geowebcache.xml? One of the strong points of the embedded GWC should be to
seemlessly switch between cached and uncached versions of the same layer, so
having to configure each and every layer in geowebcache.xml (with a different
name, no less) would scupper its usefulness.

I have installed a nightly build on my local computer, but my gridSet in
geowebcache.xml isn't picked up by the layers shown on the demo page.

Kind regards
Thomas Jahnsen

[Geoserver-users] WMS filter exclude ID

2011-04-14 Thread Thomas Jahnsen
Hi

We need to get a WMS from a layer with all-but-one feature - the
equivalent of the SQL ID NOT IN (-number-).

I know ECQL supports NOT IN (-number-), but can I use that through
GeoServer's WMS service? How can I describe it in normal CQL or OGC
filter?

We need to exclude one feature from the image because we will load it as
a modifiable vector on top.

Kind regards
Thomas Jahnsen
