thanks Simone for answering me, well, i want to create a project eclipse plugin that adds a menu to the eclipse's menubar. this menu let me open a window MapWindow to visualize a shapefile. therefore, i'm trying to create a shell swt with a frame (using swt_awt bridge) which contains a Panel with JMapPanel. my problem is that i can view all my java beans created in my java class with Run as - java application, but when i try to run all the project(plugin) as Eclipse application, MapWindow can not be opened. (p.s: when i replace the JMapPanel with a JPanel, i've got MapWindow opened) I hope this is clear enough. thanks a lot. Have a look at http://udig.refractions.net/ for how to do this ... there is also a page in the geotools user guide on the subject. A lot of the problems you are finding comes down to the GeoTools library use of factory SPI plug-ins that make use of the jar manifest to list what classes implement a particular interface etc... this technique does not work with Eclipse (or any OSGi project) as the classloader restrictions placed on plug-ins restrict access to only a set list of published packages. Since you can only publish packages there is now way to publish the MANIFEST/ directory and the files needed for Factory SPI to work Solution: bundle all the geotools stuff (and most of the open source stuff) into a single plug-in.
