Linux and e-commerce
Now that I'm free to roam the wild prairie (figuratively, no prairie in New Hampshire eh?) I can spend some time investigating what is available related to e-commerce on Linux systems. I've spent the past four years making e-commerce sites on Solaris systems using large commercial packages. Now it is time to broaden my horizons and have some fun while I'm at it. So let me ask if anyone has any experience, or even war stories, related to use of Linux for e-commerce. I'm sifting through places like Freshmeat etc. to track down known packages. What I'm asking for is the inside poop that folks may know from the experience of themselves or others. I figure if I can minimize the expense of e-commerce then maybe more people could use it, and hopefully that would help me to make a living too! Re: Linux and e-commerce
You may want to ask these guys... They are local (ie. NH/Mass) and I believe they're doing it themselves.. I spoke with Dan in Kingston NH who has some kind of affiliation. They have some cool stuff too! -Andy http://shop.panther-electronics.com/cgi-bin/PantherComputer Dan Coutu wrote: Now that I'm free to roam the wild prairie (figuratively, no prairie in New Hampshire eh?)
