Re: [Goanet] Goanet - fait accompli

2014-03-22 Thread Vivian A. DSouza
My, my, Tim and Roland, dripping with sarcasm and venom against the USA.
Perhaps a tinge of envy ?
About the world not forgetting Cuba - huh ?  Have I been asleep while the USA
annexed Cuba ?  Not a bad idea, come to think of it.
Everyone throws rocks at the USA, but when these countries are in trouble, they
want the USA to help.

In Obama, the USA has learnt its lessons well. Lets concentrate on the home
front and forget about the rest of the world.  I wonder why everyone, including
from Iran, and other countries that hate the USA, are trying desperately to
emigrate there.

Syria ? Let Assad have his way.

Crimea, all so legal and hunky dory ?.  Putin sends in Russian soldiers without
insignia and with Tanks and Personnel carriers and with a poker face states
that there are no Russian soldiers in Crimea.  A so-called referendum under
Russian occupation of Crimea is naturally a foregone conclusion. Rusia has
coveted
Crimea for long.
Everything scripted by Putin and railroaded before the rest of the world can
sneeze..  The Europeans are all crazy for imposing sanctions on Russia  All
members of the United Nations Security  Council are crazy for opposing  and
castigating Russia's action in Crimea.
Yeah, we need a guy like Putin just as the world needed Hitler and Stalin.

Long live the United States of America, beacon of Freedom and Free Enterprise.

Dear Gabe,
Just as well.

The world was beginning to tire of it's only superpower acting like a spoilt
child and stepping into other people's crap even when not wanted.
Singlehandedly it belittled the United Nations and trivialized it's purpose.
With the help of it's client state Britain under Blair and now with the backing
of Canada whose beacon under Trudeau upto Chretien once guided peace among
quarelling nations and whose respect is now in tatters under Uncle Sam's client
Prime Minister Harper, it has made nonsense of the sovereignity of nations.

In my lifetime and that of my father before me, the word America was a shining
beacon for prosperity and democracy. The hungry and the deprived could count on
it for sustenance at every turn. No longer.  It is a country now bankrupt of
morals and money overflowing only with the technology of arms and the weird
determination to quell the desires of those who they once helped and now kill.

The American people should be happy that there is a Putin to resist them where
for a long time there was nobody. Russia was a true friend to India when India
sorely needed one. India would not have had the chance to prosper as it does
today if America's once solid backing of Pakistan was not equally solidly
countered by the Big Bear. While America talked of abiding interests not
abiding friendships,    the Russian people took the Indians and clasped them to
their bosoms.

While acting like hypocrites on the Crimea issue, America thinks the world has
forgotten Cuba. For the world to become a better place America included, Russia
must regain its former power and influence and Putin is the man to accomplish
it.

By abstaining on the Crimea vote, India repays a small marker to its steadfast
friend. And for this little moment, to hell with the Yankees and their money
which can be pumped out of India as easily as it was pumped in.

Roland.

...the take over of Goa by India and now the takeover/take back of Crimea by
Russia. In a sense it was democratic when over 90% voted to join Russia; it
is too late for Goa, if a vote was held tomorrow the majority in Goa
(outsiders) would vote to remain in India.

India has taken the side of the Russians and will not vote against Russia,
China on the other hand abstained at the U.N. - they have their own problem
w.r.t. Tibet!

Well said Roland.

I agree with you 100%.

With the Americans and the Brits, hypocrisy reigns supreme.

Tons of examples.

Now that the USA has expelled all the Syrian diplomatic staff and closed all
their offices - all of a sudden - what do you think is afoot? You do not need
to be genius to know the answer.

Next step - a travel advisory for all Americans wanting to visit the Middle
East.

Also US commandos boarding a Libyan oil tanker. They own the world now?
