Re: [Goanet] MONSERATTE SHOULD RESIGN

2008-09-03 Thread floriano

Dear Aires,
Chief Minister will do or can do no such thing. He is the lollipop in the
hands of his HIGH COMMAND.

The best thing for Goa to salvage its self-respect is for someone to go to
HC Court with a Writ Petition and have him dismissed.

This cannot fail if the fact you have stated are true. We tend to believel
they are.

Subject: [Goanet] MONSERATTE SHOULD RESIGN

Mr. Atanasio Monserrate should immediately resign as Goa's Education
Minister for having falsely filed an affidavit that he had passed his
S.S.C

exam knowing well that he had not even passed the 8th standard. Propriety
demands that Chief Minister Mr. Digambar Kamat should uphold the respect
and

dignity of Goans by out rightly stripping Mr. Monseratte of the very
important Education portfolio.

Having been found to have filed a false affidavit on his educational
qualifications, Mr. Monseratte has lost all moral authority to continue as
a

Minister, more so as the Education Minister of Goa. What authority can Mr.
Monseratte command over the students and what role model can he aspire to
be
to the Goan student community after he has blatantly dared to fudge and
lie

about his own educational qualifications.

Goa's recently inducted Education Minister Mr. Atanasio Monseratte in his
affidavit sworn on 12th May 2007 along with his nomination papers at the
last Assembly elections had stated that he had passed S.S.C from St
Theresa's High School, Bandra but the Headmaster of the School has in a
letter stated that Mr. Monseratte had left the school half way on 7th
September 1978 while in Std 8th.

Chief Minister Mr. Digambar Kamat should take cognizance that Mr.
Monseratte

has committed a very serious criminal offence by filing a false and
misleading Affidavit.
