Re: [gpgtools-users] GPGMail a21

2012-01-08 Thread Alex (via GPGTools)
Hi Charly,

Thank you for your feedback.

On 27.12.2011, at 19:25, Shalom Avital wrote:
 - for encryption, I have had to activate Composing - Enable OpenPGP/MIME,
otherwise the encryption icon/button in the message composing window tool-bar
 is greyed out.

The name of this option will be renamed to Enable OpenPGP since it might be
misleading. If you disable OpenPGP for composing of corse you'll not be able to
use OpenPGP while composing a mail.

 - verification seems to work only for in-line signed messages, although I
have Reading - Enable OpenPGP/MIME activated in Mail/Preferences.../GPGMail.

Can you somehow reproduce this issue?

Signed messages whose raw source indicate that they have a multipart
configuration (MIME?), output a yellow banner with the mention
 MESSAGE_BANNER_PGP_VERIFY_BAD_SIGNATURE_ERROR_TITLE, and Show details add
 the mention MESSAGE_BANNER_PGP_VERIFY_BAD_SIGNATURE_ERROR_MESSAGE.

This might be the case when you don't have the according public key. We'll add
the correct error messages in the beta version.

 - When trying to sign, my default key as set in gpg.conf is not selected.
Instead, another key is selected, probably the first that shows in my keyring.

Known issue: http://gpgtools.lighthouseapp.com/projects/65764/tickets/395

 - I didn't find a PGP option in Menu/Message, neither in any other option
 of the Menu.

What would expect?

All in all IMHO this release is definitely better than its predecessors, and
the stability of Mail.app has not been affected, as it had been with previous
 releases.

Yes, we're getting closer ;)

Best regards, Alex

Hi Wilbert,

from the top of my head I couldn't really think of a connection between the two.
Also, GPGMail is only a mailbundle not even an installer, you put in
~/Library/Mail/Bundles.
Is there any chance you're referring to the GPGTools installer?
I'll download a copy of Earthdesk and let you know when I find the problem.

Best,

Lukas

Any thoughts on why this his happening?
