2015-04-13 Thread Amalia Warshenbrot
Shalom,
Sorry to be a messenger of sad news. Please reply to Amy Turim directly at

Thanks,
Amalia
Barbara Widem, a local librarian and lauded AJL member, has just died. She was
formerly a member of my synagogue but I don't know enough about her to write
something.. yet it seems right that somebody should. Is anyone in a position to
do so?

[ha-Safran] The Jewish Encyclopedia needs a new home

2015-04-13 Thread Amalia Warshenbrot

Please reply directly to Mr. Fox at rf...@optonline.net

Amalia

Dear Sir/Madam

I have a complete set of the Funk and Wagnells, The Jewish Encyclopedia. It
belonged to my grandfather and came into my possession after the passing of my
parents.

I would like to find a good home for these important books, do you know of any
libraries or synagogues that would be interested in them?

The spines are engraved with the name “Samuel I. Bogert” – I do not know who he
was,

Regards,

Richard Fox
