*At Home in the World *is a series of virtual conversations around topics
relevant to Area Studies and International librarianship. Events feature
invited speakers on a particular topic, with a focus on broad discussion
and the opportunity to make new connections within our wider Area Studies
community.

Our first event begins by looking at the professional organizations
supporting Area Studies librarianship. We share common goals but frequently
note the differences in our work and our organizations. What is our common
ground? How deep are our differences? How can we best support each other?

Future events are planned for open access projects and ephemeral and
related collections in Area Studies.
