RE: [hlcoders] Get setinfo data from client using server

2004-01-28 Thread McCormack, Chris
I think it was blocked ages ago. People used to use it to get amx,am admin passwords
etc. No idea if you can do it via amx nowadays.

Is there any way from serverside to find the values in clients' setinfo
variables?

All keys prepended with _ won't get passed to other clients, Admin Mod enforces
putting passwords in keyvalues prepended with _ (the server can always read all the
data in the buffer obviously, as it needs to check the passwords :)

Ahh I just found out how to do it and it's not blocked and
 works. Was it
really blocked or not? Or did they remove the block?
 Anywaythis is handy
from other points of views to get other data than passwords,
 I'm not the
one stealing passwords but still a security issue is a security issue.
Do people still use this to set passwords? I never use
 passwords so I'm
 out of ideas here.
