Each team here needs to make that choice, but given my positive experience so 
far with feedback on HL1 and CS 1.6 bugs I don't see why not. A lot of long 
running CS 1.6 bugs have been fixed because of github and nicely detailed bug 
reports (and for bonus marks some reports even pointed me at the line of code 
to fix!).

Thanks. Seems like the bug tracker really payed off for you during the last
weeks.

Is there any chance we might get another repository for Web API and similar
community features.
I know that's not your area, but maybe there's now a common approach at
Valve to open up bug reporting.
I'm sure the community would really appreciate that.
