[hlds_linux] Synergy canals4 doesnt exist
I have downloaded synergy linux server from hlds. Started the server from the first map. The server crashed twice after canals3 Then I noticed that hlds didnt download the third map of canals, it doesnt exist in the maps folder. I think that is the reason why the server crashed. Please fix it. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

Re: [hlds_linux] Synergy canals4 doesnt exist
From what I remember the canal maps should be loaded from the half-life 2 game cache. I suggest contacting someone on the Synergy development team, see http://synergymod.net/Team for more information. -Peter Powell zeev...@bezeqint.net wrote: I have downloaded synergy linux server from hlds. [hlds_linux] How to disallow crafting on TF2 servers?
Hi, we have alot of players standing around and crafting on a full server. This is huge impact for the game play if the half team is afk. Is there some way to prevent the crafting server side? I have checked the cvarlist without success. Re: [hlds_linux] How to disallow crafting on TF2 servers?
Hi, I dont know of a convar to stop crafting but you could probably write a script which kicks all players who stand in the spawn room for more than 1-2 minutes. I'm assuming that they are crafting in the spawn room as doing it anywhere else would just get them killed. ~Peter Powell Ronny Schedel wrote: Hi, we have alot of players standing around and crafting on a full server. When I craft I spend a lot of time combining stuff to see what it would get me. Try deleting scripts/items/items_game.ctx Then you should get this message on server: No scripts/items/items_game file found. May be unable to create items. Not sure if this will have any effect on the clients, but you can try and see. AFK/other timewasters can be a big problem on high-volume high-popularity servers. My local heros @3FL always have queues of 5-6 people at any given time during peak periods trying to join particular servers. Re: [hlds_linux] How to disallow crafting on TF2 servers?
The crafting is entirely client - steam, there's no way to stop it that i know of, but you can certainly see when it happens and take action. Make a script that times how long someone is in the spawnroom. Have it also hook the player crafted item event. If they craft multiple items and are in the spawnroom for more than 45 seconds, or some such, kick them for idling. Alternately, just kick them whenever they craft more than one item in x minutes. etc.. Seriously however, i've never had so many people crafting that it actually affects gameplay. I dont think i've ever even seen two people afk crafting at once. - Neph On 01/02/2010 11:28 AM, Ronny Schedel wrote: Hi, we have alot of players standing around and crafting on a full server.
