Subject: [hlds_linux] Unable to get team fortress beta running
Reply-To: hlds_linux@list.valvesoftware.com

Working with a 6.06.1 LTS Ubuntu Kernel is 2.6.15-28

I have created and changed owner over the /srcds_l directory on my box.

From there I have updated to 100% the ./steam -command update -game tf

Running that several times I have reached 100%.

Then when attempting to run ./srcds_run -console -game tf +map ctf_2fort I =
get either Unable to load module bin/datacache_i486.so (when running from /=
srcds_l/tf2/orangebox)

Or: I get Invalid game type 'tf' specified when trying to run the same comm=
and from /srcds_l

Any advice/help is appreciated. : )

I got

270 x 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 24 hours x 31 days = 723.16 GB per
month, but that is at 24 players every second of every day, which is
pretty much impossible. I would figure around 500-600GB on a popular
server. Sound right?

Hey, I've never run a dedicated server before, but just set one up for
 TF2.
I was wondering what the average bandwith usage I can expect to see on a
monthly basis for a server that stays pretty full pretty consistently
 at a
 player cap of 24.
 Thanks.
