Connection to steam servers lost. And then no one ever joins the server
again. Also, there is no heartbeat messages in console (IE, I remember
CS used to say Sending heartbeat to master server, none of that.

Has anyone else dealt with this before?

Re: [hlds_linux] Server's not showing in server list?

2009-10-21 Thread Peter Lindblom
The only master server that shows in console here is

Adding master server 69.28.140.247:27011
Adding master server 69.28.140.246:27011

Nothing else, it print these 2 lines every mapchange.

On a side note - we did set up 3 new gameservers some days ago, it took more
then a day before they turned up in the server favorit list.
But now they are there direct :D

No heartbeat being sent sounds like sv_lan 1 or -nomaster.

Make sure neither are present.

I do have a firewall up, but I am pretty darn sure I have all the required

This is even after a restart. It's very irritating because the only
thing I changed is their hostname on four of them. Now it's like Valve
just dropped them off the face of the planet.

They are not, we actually have sv_lan as 0. Nomaster is not set anywhere in
config or the launch string.

The heartbeat command has no output. It just tells the master server to list
your server on the server list.

Re: [hlds_linux] Server's not showing in server list?

2009-10-19 Thread Russell Jones
I remember on the old CS servers I used to run that it would show
Sending heartbeat or something along those lines everytime it sent
a heartbeat. Do L4D servers not do this?

In addition, I've noticed now that the server list in openserverbrowser
only seems to show servers that actually have people in them. Is there a
more full server list that I can see somehow?

Thanks for you guy's help
