The development release of Ubuntu (Gutsy) uses a different sudo prompt.
The installation of the last HPLIP doesn't support that and keeps waiting
for the 'Password:' prompt.
The new prompt is: [sudo] password for $user:
After a manual change of the installer to use a different sudo prompt
(sudo -p Password:) installation continues.
I hope this information helps to support Gutsy in the future.
